All final Junior High School Students in Ghana are required to write examinations in Information Communication & Technology (ICT). Unfortunately, most of these students in Abesewa and its environs have no access to computers. In fact, some have never touched computer mouse before. Thus, the establishment of a Technology Centre at Abesewa will help address this challenge.
“Some people [in Abesewa] have computers, but the school doesn’t have any. This center will help us learn ICT and get jobs in computers.”
“We will be able to communicate with people outside Ghana, and can share information with them.”
“It will help us learn to type and write letters. We can get letters [email] from family that travels [lives outside Ghana]. I am proud to be helping.”
